MotivAsians attended the Cavs vs Mavericks game on Easter and witness a great comeback and victory! We started off with a tour of the Quicken Loan Arena and then held a pre-game networking session at Panini’s. We had back to the arena and watch the Cavs game! 2 points away from free Chicken Nuggets… so close! Thanks to all 36 of you coming out tonight for the tour, networking event and the game!
Members of MotivAsians had an exciting night out watching the Cleveland Monsters playing against the San Diego Gulls. The game was close and went into overtime. Eventually the Gulls won, but it was still a great game! Today’s game was also to rise awareness and to celebrate survivors of cancer. There was a moment of silence and everyone lite up a purple light to dedicate to those who had the disease.
MotivAsians co-hosted a retrogaming event with the Taiwanese Student Association at Case Western Reserve University. The game of choice is Little Fighter 2 (小朋友齊打交2), a very popular game from the 2000s developed in Hong Kong. The event started with pizza and practice rounds for new players. The night got intense as the 4 teams fought in a tournament. The MotivAsians team received 3rd place with Billy playing Freeze the iceman, Minzi playing Rudolf the ninja, May playing Henry the archer and Ken playing Dennis the martial artist. They got 2 mini water-gun as prizes! It was a fun night networking with undergraduate and graduate students!
